Admission arrangements
Thank you for considering St Anselm’s Catholic School for your child.
We are a Catholic learning community based on the Gospel values of Love, Hope, Charity, Justice and Peace. Students are able to achieve their full potential academically, spiritually and socially with the committed support of staff, parents and governors. We promote equal opportunities and the serving of the wider community. We welcome applicants from non-Catholic children who are in sympathy with the school’s Christian ethos.
As a faith school you will appreciate that our admissions criteria differ from those of other schools and as a school which is regularly oversubscribed, we require additional information from you to ensure that our over-subscription criteria are applied to all applications in a consistent and fair way.
The admissions process is different depending on whether your son or daughter is joining us in year 7 in September or is already in secondary education. Full details of the application processes, our admissions criteria and the forms that you will need can be found using the links on the left hand side of this page. We will also publish a timetable each year which will let you know what you have to do and by when.
If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact our Admissions Officer on admissions@st-anselms.org.uk or 01227 826200.
