Year 7

Term 1

'Me, Myself and I' 

Year 7 students begin the year with a base line test; a self-portrait. They continue to learn how to draw eyes and use collage having looked at the use of maps in the work of Matthew Cusick.


Term 2

'Me, Myself and I' 

Through learning about symbols and understanding the work of Frida Kahlo they make a folding booklet about themselves.



Term 3

'Me, Myself and I' 

In term 3 they research Artists portraits through Role Play and analytical investigations into techniques that they use. From this they design glasses based on their work.



Term 4

'Our World'

Looking at North American Indians to draw inspiration to design and create ceramic Totem Poles.





Term 5

'Our World'

They investigate environmental issues and use this to make hats from recycled materials.


Term 6

 In term six they focus on colour mixing and Landscape painting.


 Our homework is designed to promote and encourage imagination and creativity. Each student receives a homework book full of inspirational activities.
