Touch Rugby National Success for St Anselm's Students!

It is with great pride that we can announce that we have National Touch Rugby champions amongst our students. Having been introduced to Touch Rugby by Mr Alexander, they have progressed extremely well and represented The South East Mavericks in a National Competition in Oxford.

The successful students were Alice Summers, Ethan Tigue, Sam Phleps, Alex Sariev, Alice White and Marley Stephens-Greenwood. They all represented the U15s, who were crowned National Champions! Alice S, Ethan and Alex also represented the U18s team, who were runners up overall! An amazing achievement!

Huge congratulations to all involved and a big thank you to Mr Alexander in developing these students and enabling them to reach the dizzy heights of National Champions!

Year 8 Boys Through in Kent Cup!

Our Year 8 Boys won a hard-fought cup tie 3-2 at Royal Harbour Academy on 15th October.  After a goalless first half, substitute Joe Thompson opened the scoring early in the second half before Max Baldry added another.  Harbour pulled one back but Tyler Watson scored his 13th goal in 3 games to regain our two-goal advantage.  We conceded once more to set up a frantic finale but the boys held on superbly to set up a 3rd Round tie at home to Ursuline in November.

Team: Tom Roberts, Joe Rose, Tyler Rahmatullah, Kian Lambert, Harry Letteboer, Con Cussen, Connor Deeks, Max Baldry, Otto Mesquita, Jaub Zochowski, Tyler Watson, Joe Thompson, James Wiffen, Otto Crispin.
