THURSDAY, WEEK TWO IN LENT

ST ANSELM'S PLEASE USE THE LINK IN ORANGE

Form Time Daily Prayer

FEAST AND SAINTS' DAYS THIS WEEK

Monday 1st March - Saint David

We've gone purple or strictly speaking Violet!  The Liturgical colour for Lent is Purple (apart from where feasts and solemnities specify white or red) which signifies the penitent and reflective atmosphere of the season. Purple (or violet) is associated with mourning and so anticipates the pain and suffering of the crucifixion of Jesus, but purple is also the colour associated with royalty, and celebrates Christ’s kingship and sovereignty.

Praying@homeTasking

1.Go violet/purple! Put a piece of purple paper or something purple (even two purple pencils/pens) near your workspace!                                                                                                  2. Place a Bible near your work space and open it on this week's scripture of the Week. Feeling artistic? You could make a piece of art using the words of the Scripture of the Week.

It's also Fairtrade Fortnight and National Careers Week and today  it's  WORLD BOOK DAY

We begin with the Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Scripture for Today (SOW)

‘This is my command, be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord, your God is with you, wherever you go’ Joshua 1:9

We reflect and pray.

We pray for the strength and courage                                                to be a strong and courageous community,                                  knowing that God is with us. Amen.

As the exam process becomes more clear today, we keep all those preparing for exams in our prayers.

We end with the Sign of the Cross
